10 steps to design a physical fitness monitoring system

The guidelines highlight the most common and relevant issues related to developing a functioning physical fitness monitoring system for children and adolescents. There are practical steps provided to help users establish their own physical fitness monitoring system, with related examples and solutions to common challenges encountered.

These guidelines have been prepared in collaboration with representatives from Slovenia, Portugal, Finland, Hungary, and Serbia – the countries in the FitBack consortium that have established national physical fitness monitoring systems.

There are ten main topics and their rationale presented herein, including related case studies highlighted from these respective countries. The topics are formed based on expert opinions, supported by SWOT analyses.
