How to Prepare Students for Fitness Testing

Fitness tests are used to determine the level of physical fitness of an individual. Acquainting students with the importance of fitness testing and the main components of physical fitness is essential. The main focus is the education of young people through the promotion of lifelong physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Higher fitness is also related to better cognitive development in short term and maintaining it in the long term. This scenario presents how to communicate fitness testing to students to create appropriate climate on fitness monitoring. Key cognitive level in this scenario is conditional (check chapter Scenarios), while scenario can be performed in 4-8 months.

The scenario helps to understand what the important aspects are a teacher should pay attention to before performing fitness testing in the class, what might be the challenges during the testing and how to perform the feedback of the results.
